A mission is a chain of illustrated encounters. Each player posts what their character does, with the cards they play, whenever it suits them: no one has to be online at the same time. Once every turn is in, the encounter resolves and the next scene is drawn.
The bridge over the Ashen Gorge is cut on the far side. Six bandits hold the eastern bank behind overturned carts; two carry crossbows. The caravan has stopped twenty paces from the edge.
I raise my shield and walk the drivers back behind the lead wagon.

Questions
What is a play-by-post RPG?
A roleplaying game played in posts instead of live sessions. Each player writes what their character does when they have time, and the game moves on once everyone has posted. In Guild RPG, the AI runs the game between posts: it writes each situation, resolves the turns and draws the scenes.
Is Guild RPG new?
Yes. Guild RPG is a new platform in open beta: everything is playable now, and we build what comes next with the players on our Discord server.
Do we need to be online at the same time?
No. Every player posts their turn whenever it suits them, and a notification tells them when the next encounter is waiting for them.
Can I play alone?
Yes. Generate a solo adventure from one line, run it automated with your character, and post your turns at your own pace.
Is it free?
You can create one guild, one character and one mission for free, with up to 10 images, and play any character a guild gives you for free. A subscription gives you a month of access to everything else.
How do I get a character for free?
Ask on our Discord server, or ask a guild: its council can give you a character, with a link to claim it, and you play it for free.
